Senior Partner, Managing Director

Andreu Ulied

Andreu Ulied holds a PhD in Civil Engineering from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, with a Master’s in Urban Planning from the Harvard Graduate School of Design and a Master’s in Philosophy from UNED. Founder and CEO of MCRIT since 1988, he served as Technical Coordinator of the Barcelona Metropolitan Territorial Plan (1989–1993), Resilience Commissioner for the Barcelona Strategic Plan, and member of the Mayor of Barcelona’s Urban Planning Advisory Council. He is an accredited expert in Cost-Benefit Analysis by CINEA (European Commission, 2017) and recipient of the Merit Award in Engineering from the College of Civil Engineers of Spain (2020).

Over 35 years, he has combined applied research, territorial planning, strategic infrastructure analysis, and public policy evaluation for public administrations, companies, and multilateral organizations such as the World Bank, the IDB, CAF, and the OECD, with presence in over 60 countries. He has taught at various universities and at the European Academy of Taxation, Economics and Law in Berlin. He is fluent in Catalan, Spanish, English, and French, with reading proficiency in Portuguese and Italian.

Senior Partner, Director

Andreu Esquius

Andreu Esquius holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, with a specialization in transport planning and management and executive training in public-private partnership projects. Managing Partner at MCRIT, he has over 25 years of experience in infrastructure and public services, with a particular focus on mobility, roads, public transport, demand modelling, and concession project evaluation.

He has led or conducted more than 500 traffic studies, demand forecasting projects, and socioeconomic assessments for public and private clients in Spain, Europe, Africa, and Latin America, including work for the United Nations, the World Bank, and the IDB. He also maintains teaching activity in investment evaluation, demand forecasting models, and urban mobility.

Oriol Biosca

Oriol Biosca holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and has been a partner at MCRIT since 2018, where he leads the Strategic, Territorial Planning, and Sustainability department. With over 15 years of experience, he specializes in socioeconomic evaluation, public policy analysis, territorial planning, sustainability, and investment assessment within urban, regional, and strategic contexts.

He has coordinated more than a hundred economic and financial evaluation projects for infrastructure, public services, transport, and urban development. His clients include the World Bank, the IDB, and European programs such as Horizon and INTERREG ESPON. Additionally, he has contributed to the design of evaluation methodologies for Catalan institutions and maintains an active role in both teaching and professional practice within the fields of planning and land-use managemen

Ambar Álvarez is an architect with a postgraduate degree in Public Space and Urban Mobility from the National Autonomous University of Mexico and a master’s degree in Territorial Planning and Environmental Management from the University of Barcelona. She has five years of experience in interpreting and applying urban, environmental, and architectural regulations in the development of urban and architectural projects.

She has worked as a consultant in the management of urban and architectural projects, collaborating with various government entities for their evaluation, validation, execution, and monitoring. In this role, she has ensured the proper alignment of projects with current regulatory frameworks, actively participating in the preparation of Environmental Impact Assessments in Mexico City and integrating sustainability criteria, technical feasibility, and regulatory compliance, as well as implementing prevention and mitigation measures.

Her career focuses on the evaluation and monitoring of architectural and urban projects at the metropolitan scale, with a particular emphasis on environmental management.

Camila Álvarez is an Architect from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana Bogotá, holds a Master of Science in Urban Planning and Policy Design from the Politecnico di Milano, and a Postgraduate degree in Urbanism and Territorial Planning from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.

She has 9 years of experience in sustainable urban planning, strategic territorial projects, landscape development, and innovation for sustainable development. Throughout her career, she has contributed to the development and formulation of strategic urban and regional projects, including Transit-Oriented Development, mobility, and the regeneration of public spaces with a gender perspective.

She has also supported and coordinated training processes for stakeholders across the public, private, and academic sectors on urban regeneration and resilient public spaces, and has participated in research projects on urbanism and nature-based infrastructure solutions for resilient communities and cities. She has worked on European projects under programmes such as HORIZON and ERASMUS+, and has experience writing and coordinating projects funded by the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank.

Pol Aparicio is a geographer, graduated from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in Geography, Environment and Territorial Planning, and holds a Master’s in Territorial Planning and Environmental Management from the University of Barcelona, specialising in Local and Regional Development Planning. He is a consultant in the strategic planning area at MCRIT, with a particular interest in rural areas, and has two years of experience in strategic planning and citizen participation in planning processes. He has contributed to the preparation of Strategic Development Plans, Urban Agendas and 2030 Agendas, at both municipal and supra-municipal scale, across Catalonia and Spain.

Harold Del Castillo is a Civil Engineer from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), having completed an academic residency at the Warsaw University of Technology. A specialist in data analysis and statistics, he has been with MCRIT since 2017, with a professional profile focused on the collection, harmonization, and processing of data for the evaluation of policies, plans, and projects.

He specializes in data management and quality control, statistics, innovative indicators, and GIS implementation. He has participated in European projects such as the ESPON Database Portal and ESPON ETMS, as well as Horizon initiatives and evaluations of territorial and transport policies..

Isaac Farradellas is an economist with a Master’s degree in Territorial Planning and Environmental Management. As a consultant in the Strategic Planning department at MCRIT, he has 4 years of experience specializing in energy accounting, prospective and energy efficiency studies, as well as climate planning at both local and regional scales.

He has worked on the development of SECAP (Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plans), climate mitigation and adaptation strategies for cities, and European projects within the Horizon and ESPON frameworks. Additionally, he has participated in World Bank projects in Brazil related to the co-benefits of transport, as well as urban agendas focused on the circular, blue, and landscape economies.

Eduardo Fustero is an Architecture graduate from the University of Zaragoza and holds a Master’s in Architecture from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, with a specialisation in Urbanism. He has over three years of experience across different areas of the sector, both in building construction and urban planning. He has developed construction projects at residential and commercial scale, urban regeneration initiatives at both theoretical and constructive levels, strategic territorial projects, and landscape developments of varying scale.

Graduate in Natural and Environmental Sciences from the University of Pisa, specialising in Environmental Sciences and Geology, and holds a Master’s in Spatial Planning and Environmental Management with a focus on Assessment, Environmental Management and Landscape from the University of Barcelona. She also holds a qualification as an Agrotechnician (Italy). Since 2024, she has worked on projects focused on public policy evaluation, the development of sustainable territorial strategies, and climate change planning. She has collaborated in citizen participation processes and provided technical support to policymakers, contributing an integrated environmental perspective with a focus on sustainability and urban resilience. Her experience includes the preparation of strategic and technical studies in local and European contexts, both in institutional and private settings.

Guillem Méndez is a civil engineer specialized in transport and mobility, with a Master’s degree in Roads, Canals, and Ports Engineering. His career combines infrastructure feasibility analysis, mobility planning, and the implementation of ITS solutions aimed at improving traffic efficiency and sustainability.

Since 2021, he has developed energy and climate projects at both national and international levels, evaluated transport infrastructures—including railways, roads, ports, and airports—and conducted carbon footprint studies for port and land transport projects. His experience also includes the design of road infrastructure, bike lanes, and cycle tourism routes, as well as updating sustainable mobility guides.

He is proficient in tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, Power BI, and Matlab, applying them to transport modeling and planning. His profile combines a strong technical foundation with a comprehensive vision of sustainable mobility and intelligent transport management.

Head of Transport and Logistics

Efraín Larrea

Efrain Larrea is a Civil Engineer from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), holding both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in the field. A Senior Consultant and Head of the Logistics department at MCRIT, where he has built a 19-year career, he specializes in transport and logistics planning, data management, information systems, and freight traffic modeling, as well as carbon footprint measurement in transport operations.

He has developed tools such as PortLinks and Ecocalculator, which are publicly available on the Port of Barcelona’s website. Representing Spain, he participated in the drafting of the ISO 14083:2023 standard on the quantification of GHG emissions in transport chains and is carbon footprint certified by AENOR. He is a regular speaker at sustainable logistics forums such as SIL Barcelona and the Smart City Expo World Congress, and has extensive professional experience in the LAC (Latin America and the Caribbean) region. He is fluent in Spanish, English, Portuguese, French, and Catalan.

Ruane Gracio is a civil engineer from the Presbyterian Mackenzie University in São Paulo, with a master’s degree in Smart Mobility from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and a postgraduate degree in Walkable Cities, Active Mobility, and Transport Systems from the School of Sustainable Mobility.

She has 4 years of experience in road management and 5 years of experience in transport planning, with 3 of those years as a consultant at Mcrit. She specializes in macro modeling, network analysis, and demand forecasting for transport infrastructure in both public and private systems.

She has contributed to projects in road management and signaling for toll roads in Brazil, mobility analysis and monitoring for rail transport in Catalonia, public and private transport modeling projects using Visum in Brazil and Europe, as well as the development of Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans and the implementation of Low Emission Zones.

Clàudia Jiménez is a Civil Engineer with a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), a Master’s in Project Management from La Salle, and a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute. She has over 9 years of experience in transport planning.

She specializes in demand forecasting and feasibility assessments for transport infrastructure and services. She works with macroscopic and microscopic modeling tools such as TransCAD, Visum, and VISSIM, developing multimodal models for urban and interurban mobility studies. Additionally, she has taught advanced courses in transport modeling.

Marco Jiménez holds a degree in Smart and Sustainable Cities from the School of Engineering at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and a master’s degree in Territorial Planning and Environmental Management from the University of Barcelona.

With two years of experience in generated mobility models and public transport planning, he has worked on the development of plans and studies related to urban transport optimization. He specializes in the use of GIS systems, as well as in transport modeling using VISUM and microsimulation with VISSIM. Additionally, he has advanced skills in using tools such as Excel and PowerPoint, applied to the preparation of reports and technical presentations.

Xiomara Jondec is a Civil Engineer from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. She has started her professional career at MCRIT, where she is currently part of the transport planning team.

During this period, she has participated in demand analysis and mobility profiles, as well as in the review and validation of public transport schedules, especially within the AMB area, ensuring the operational consistency of the services.

She has also collaborated in calculating service quality indicators, such as service levels, and in the preparation of technical documentation associated with planning and mobility projects.

Marc López is a civil engineer with a master’s degree in Roads, Canals, and Ports Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC). He has over four years of experience in the field of transport planning.

His specialization focuses on demand forecasting and the feasibility analysis of transport infrastructure and services. He works with both macroscopic and microscopic modeling tools, including TransCAD, Visum, and VISSIM, developing multimodal models applied to urban and interurban mobility studies. He has also provided advanced training in transport modeling.

Raquel López is a Civil Engineer from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) and an accredited road safety auditor and inspector by the Ibero-American Road Institute (Instituto Vial Ibero-Americano). At MCRIT, she leads the Transport Modeling and Road Safety department, with an 18-year career dedicated to sustainable, healthy, and safe mobility planning.

Her specialization includes accident and road safety studies, demand forecasting, and feasibility analysis for both public and private transport infrastructure—including rail, road, maritime, and airport projects. She regularly works with macroscopic and microscopic modeling tools such as TransCAD, Visum, and VISSIM, and has advised administrations and private companies on the economic-financial evaluation, territorial impact, and technical feasibility of infrastructure projects. Additionally, she has taught advanced modeling courses.

Joel Martí is a Civil Engineer with a Master’s in Civil Engineering (Roads, Canals and Ports) from the UPC, specialising in Transport Engineering and Urbanism. With two years of professional experience, he has worked on public transport planning studies, transport modelling and cost evaluation across a range of contexts, from municipal studies to international projects in Latin America and the Caribbean. He specialises in the use of transport simulation models, including VISUM for transport modelling and analysis, and VISSIM for microsimulation. His experience covers tasks such as traffic flow analysis, transport demand forecasting, assessment of efficiency in existing infrastructure, and public transport network optimisation.

Laura Pacheco is an Engineer and Senior Transport Planning Specialist at MCRIT, with 7 years of professional experience, 6 of which have been with the firm. She specializes in transport planning and modeling, ranging from microsimulation and traffic management projects to large-scale mobility studies and regional development plans.

Her work encompasses traffic and public transport modeling, demand forecasting, sustainable mobility, and project feasibility assessments. She has participated in assignments for international institutions such as the IDB and the CDB (Caribbean Development Bank) across Europe and Latin America, and has provided advanced training in transport modeling.

Àlex Perpiñá is a civil engineer with a master’s degree in Roads, Canals, and Ports Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC). He has over three years of experience in the field of transport planning.

His specialization focuses on demand forecasting and the feasibility analysis of transport infrastructure and services. He works with macroscopic modeling tools such as Visum, developing multimodal models applied to mobility studies. Throughout his professional career, he has participated in public transport studies, with particular focus on demand modeling, infrastructure planning—especially high-speed rail—and the economic-financial and socioeconomic analysis of projects for organizations such as ADIF. He has also provided advanced training in transport modeling.

Alexander Rocca is a civil engineer from the National University of Engineering (Lima) and holds a Master’s degree in Structural and Construction Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC).
He has over 8 years of experience in road infrastructure, road maintenance, educational infrastructure, railway, waterway transport, general building construction, and disaster risk management projects. He also works with macroscopic modeling tools such as PTV Visum.
He is a professional specializing in project execution, planning, tracking, and monitoring, with a focus on process optimization through management tools and agile methodologies. He stands out for his results-oriented approach, strategic thinking, and decision-making ability, as well as his adaptability and teamwork skills in multidisciplinary environments.

Javier Sanz is a public transport planning and modeling consultant at MCRIT, where he has built a 6-year career. His profile is focused on passenger mobility analysis in urban environments as well as medium and long-distance services, with a particular emphasis on demand behavior and the operational and economic evaluation of networks.

He has extensive experience in macro and microsimulation, the development of multimodal models, and the forecasting of demand, revenue, and costs. He specializes in the planning, forecasting, and evaluation of both conventional and high-speed rail networks

Pablo Sanz is a civil engineer with a master’s degree in Roads, Canals, and Ports Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC). He has over five years of experience in the field of transport planning.

His specialization focuses on conducting demand studies and 4-stage models through multimodal macroscopic modeling using PTV Visum software. He has participated in numerous studies both nationally and internationally, working for clients such as the IDB and the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility.

Marina Serra is a geographer with a degree in Geography from the Universitat de Barcelona and a Master’s in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC). A Systems Consultant at MCRIT with 4 years of experience, she has established a specialized technical profile in advanced spatial data processing and analytical support for territorial and mobility projects.

Her expertise focuses on the automation of geoprocessing workflows and spatial data analysis, utilizing tools such as QGIS, ArcGIS, R, and Python. She combines technical proficiency with a geographical perspective, focusing on workflow optimization and the rigorous exploitation of geospatial information.

Jessica Villalón is a geographer graduated from the University of Chile, holding a Master’s degree in Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. She has 9 years of experience and is a Chilean national.

Her expertise spans territorial analysis at municipal, metropolitan, and regional scales, as well as management and analysis in environmental, social, and cultural geography. Her background includes work in tourism and heritage, public safety projects, environmental risk assessment, community outreach, and social and heritage research. At MCRIT, she contributes as a GIS specialist and provides technical and documentary support for territorial planning projects.

Mobility

Mobility Manager

Victor Agulló

Victor Agulló is a geographer with a Master’s degree in Territorial Planning and Environmental Management from the Universitat de Barcelona. Before joining MCRIT in 2013, he worked on studies regarding climate change and coastal tourism, served in forest fire surveillance units, and worked as a mobility technician for the Mataró City Council.

Since 2013, he has participated in the development of mobility studies and plans as a Lead Specialist. His profile combines territorial sensitivity and urban planning experience with the ability to support mobility projects from an applied perspective, ranging from preliminary analysis to planning proposals and signage design.

Silvia Cerezo holds a degree in Geography and Spatial Planning and a Master’s in Territorial Studies and Planning from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. With over four years of experience in the public transport sector, she currently works as a mobility technician at MCRIT, contributing to the development of mobility studies and plans. Previously, she was part of the T-mobilitat project and has worked for public transport operators, coordinating the Automatic Vehicle Monitoring system (SAE) and developing GIS projects.

Carla Pons holds a degree in Environmental Sciences from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and a Master’s in Territorial Planning and Environmental Management from the University of Barcelona. She has contributed to drafting procedures for ISO 14001 and EMAS certifications, and collaborated in the preparation of seasonal beach reports for Blue Flag certification. For the past year, she has been working as a mobility technician, developing mobility studies and plans (EAMG and SUMP), as well as in urban planning. She also has prior experience in the development of Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plans (SECAPs).

Alex Sugrañes holds a degree in Political Science and Public Administration from Pompeu Fabra University and a Master’s in Territorial Studies and Planning from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. He works as a mobility technician at MCRIT, where he is responsible for the development and management of Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (SUMPs), Corporate Travel Plans, and other mobility studies. Before joining MCRIT in 2025, he worked in the public sector as a technician at the Vallès Occidental Regional Council, driving an industrial energy transition project aimed at regional companies.

Marc Torrent holds a degree in Political Science and Public Management from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, with a specialisation in Public Policy Analysis and Management, and a Master’s in City and Urban Planning from the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. He participates in the development of mobility studies and plans, with over one year of experience in urban planning and sustainable mobility, as well as prior experience in urban strategy projects, citizen participation, and the preparation of Urban Agendas. He has advanced skills in data analysis tools and GIS.

Director of Systems

Ramon Català

Ramon Català is a Telecommunications Engineer and the Director of Systems Development at MCRIT, where he has been a partner since 1992. Since 1990, he has worked on the development of GIS routines and network analysis, with a career closely linked to the design of proprietary tools supporting transport network planning and management.

He has developed software based on Bridges technology and has served as an analyst and project manager for GIS systems, data models, and routing engines for agencies such as the ATM (Barcelona Metropolitan Transport Authority). He is a specialist in Geomedia, ArcGIS, MicroStation, TransCAD, and VISSIM, and has taught postgraduate courses on Geographic Information Systems.

Pol Bosch is a Full-stack Engineer from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) and holds a degree in Video Game Design and Development. At MCRIT, he serves as a specialist in UI/UX design and digital platform development.

His specialization encompasses user interface design, data visualization, front-end and back-end development, and the application of WCAG web accessibility standards. He designs responsive interfaces and interactive tools for territorial information platforms and planning systems used by public administrations and multilateral organizations.

Jaume Jorba holds a degree in Computer Science from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) and a diploma in Statistics. Following an initial period at the UPC as head of statistical analysis, he joined MCRIT in 1993 as a Programmer Analyst. For over 30 years, he has been developing modeling systems for transport planning.

His technical expertise includes development in PHP (Slim, Laravel), Python (web2py, Django, FastAPI), and Angular; database administration for MySQL/MariaDB, PostgreSQL/GIS, and SQLite; Linux systems administration; and GIS analysis using ArcGIS and Geomedia. He has worked on mapping projects, GPS data processing, and the development of web interfaces for territorial information. Additionally, he serves as the Vice President of the Ersilia Foundation.

Business Development

Business Development Lead

Rafa Rodrigo

Rafa Rodrigo is an economist with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Economics from the Universitat de Barcelona, with additional training in territorial planning and environmental management. With 15 years of experience, he specializes in urban and regional economics, cost analysis, alternative evaluation, and public investment.

He has participated in numerous European research and territorial evaluation projects in fields such as cohesion, resilience, climate change, energy, transport, economy, and governance, within programs including ESPON, Horizon 2020, LIFE, FP7, and INTERREG. In addition to his analytical work, he manages the financial dimension of EU-funded research projects and assignments for multilateral institutions.

Graduate in Public Management and Administration from the University of Barcelona. He has two years of experience in the public sector in areas of billing, budget control and public procurement support, including the drafting of technical and administrative specifications, and experience in the preparation of tenders at both local and international level, within MCRIT’s business development area, where he is also responsible for the quality management system and the maintenance of several certification schemes, including ISO 9001 (quality management), ISO 14001 (environmental management), ISO 166001 (R&D&I management), ISO 39001 (road safety) and ISO 27001 (information security). His work includes the documentary and legal management of national and international proposals, bringing rigour, organisation and a strategic vision to the project submission process.

Aina holds a Master’s in Urban and Regional Planning from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), with specialised training in urban economics, development in the Global South, urban theory, territorial governance and sustainable development. She also holds a Master’s in Political Philosophy from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF), and a degree in Communication with a specialisation in International Relations from the same university. She has developed her experience as a research assistant at the LSE and UPF, participating in projects related to local economic development and urban policies, and has collaborated with European public institutions and international organisations on the development of strategic content, political analysis and social policy. Specialising in the identification and strategic management of international business opportunities, she contributes to the formulation of technical proposals for public tenders, cooperation projects and programmes funded by multilateral development organisations. She also participates in the design of strategies and policies aimed at sustainable transition, with a particular focus on improving governance frameworks and developing public policy instruments.

Lucas Ulied holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from ESADE Business & Law School and the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School, a Master of Laws (LLM) in International Business Law from ESADE, and an MBA with a concentration in Finance from IESE Business School. At MCRIT, he specializes in transaction advisory for infrastructure investments under PPP structures and sustainable transport.

He has extensive experience in economic-financial analysis, modeling, project valuation, and feasibility studies. He has participated in projects for the World Bank and the IDB in Latin America, including the analysis of concession contracts, cost-benefit studies, and PPP structuring. Previously, he worked as a lawyer at Uría Menéndez and as a consultant at Bain & Company in Bogotá. He balances his activity at MCRIT with roles as an investment advisor at FINAVES and within the IESE Business Angels Network.

Rafaela Godoy

Director

Marite Guevara

Marite Guevara is a specialist in communication and editorial production, with a diverse background in social communication, management, and editorial design, holding studies from the University of Puerto Rico, New York University, and the University of Barcelona. With expertise in project management, editorial design, and content development, she has led MCRIT’s communications department. Since 2004, she has directed the Ersilia Foundation, fostering collaborative learning through interdisciplinary projects to achieve humanity’s future sustainability goals.

Her work focuses on citizen participation, active learning, and promoting scientific and humanistic knowledge. Marite has led dissemination efforts in Horizon Europe, Horizon 2020, and Erasmus+ projects such as PSOILICY (HEU), BENCHMARKS (HEU), REBALANCE (H2020), and UrbanShift (Erasmus+). She is involved in sustainability networks like Barcelona Sostenible. Her interdisciplinary expertise spans sustainability, R&D+i, and communication strategies, making her a key player in local and European-level R&D initiatives.

Monserrat García is a Junior Frontend Developer based in Barcelona, with professional training in web design and publishing from the Centre d’Estudis Politècnics. She has solid knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript, and intermediate-level experience with React, Vite, Tailwind, Node.js, PHP, MySQL, i18n and Linux for building dynamic, responsive and scalable web applications. Her technical toolkit includes Git, GitHub, FTP deployment and WordPress, as well as intermediate SEO skills to improve online visibility and performance. She also handles hosting environments at a foundational level.

Jaume Jorba holds a degree in Computer Science from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) and a diploma in Statistics. Following an initial period at the UPC as head of statistical analysis, he joined MCRIT in 1993 as a Programmer Analyst. For over 30 years, he has been developing modeling systems for transport planning.His technical expertise includes development in PHP (Slim, Laravel), Python (web2py, Django, FastAPI), and Angular; database administration for MySQL/MariaDB, PostgreSQL/GIS, and SQLite; Linux systems administration; and GIS analysis using ArcGIS and Geomedia. He has worked on mapping projects, GPS data processing, and the development of web interfaces for territorial information. Additionally, he serves as the Vice President of the Ersilia Foundation.

Carlos Miret holds a degree in Audiovisual Communication from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and an MSc in Sustainable Food Production and Natural Resources Management from Liverpool John Moores University. His work focuses on maximizing the impact of research and innovation, promoting sustainability, and facilitating knowledge transfer through effective communication and dissemination strategies. He has expertise in digital content creation, web and graphic design, video production, social media management, and event organization for community building and stakeholder engagement.

Carlos has worked on numerous European projects under Horizon Europe and Erasmus+, covering topics such as sustainable education, urban transformation, and soil health. He also collaborates with MCRIT on national and international projects for both governmental and private sector clients. Before joining Ersília, he contributed to interdisciplinary research on sustainable development at the University of Sussex, and led the communication department at the Faculty of Life Sciences.

Júlia holds a degree in Audiovisual Communication from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) and is currently pursuing a degree in International Relations at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC). Her work sits at the intersection of communication and knowledge dissemination, with a focus on making research and innovation accessible, relevant and impactful across diverse audiences.

Júlia has built experience across journalism, corporate communication consultancy, press office management and European institutional communication, working with both public and private sector stakeholders on communication strategy and media relations. She is currently part of the Ersília team, contributing to the communication and dissemination of interdisciplinary research and innovation projects aimed at addressing contemporary urban and global challenges, including European initiatives under programmes such as Horizon Europe.
