PARTNERS

The project aimed to develop a strategic framework for leveraging airport activity to foster regional integration and drive local economic development in Latin America and the Caribbean. The challenge was to conceptualize a pilot airport city project that aligns with global best practices while addressing local needs. The strategy identifies opportunities for growth, focusing on infrastructure, connectivity, and sustainable urban development, with the pilot serving as a model for future airport city projects in the region.

MCRIT provided technical advisory support by conducting a comprehensive analysis of airport cities globally, identifying key areas of intervention, and prioritizing strategic developments. We developed governance proposals, created a detailed roadmap for the deployment of the airport city strategy, selected pilot projects, and drafted recommendations for a regional cooperation exchange platform. Our support aimed to ensure effective implementation and regional integration of airport city projects in Latin America and the Caribbean.
