PARTNERS

The project develops a comprehensive Transport Policy Framework to guide the sustainable growth, management, and regulation of the road transport sector. It defines key priorities and roles for short-, medium-, and long-term action, while supporting the implementation of the Sustainable Road-Based Transport Plan (SRBPTP) through technical planning and stakeholder engagement. The goal is to create an enabling environment for effective changes in the transport-energy-climate nexus.

MCRIT conducted an assessment of the current transport-energy-climate nexus, collecting relevant data to inform the development of a comprehensive policy framework. We facilitated stakeholder consultations during the diagnostic phase to identify key challenges and opportunities. Our services included policy impact analysis, policy paper development, and validation workshops to refine the proposed framework. We reviewed the existing Sustainable Road-Based Public Transport Plan, enhancing and updating the implementation plan with specific activities. Additionally, we developed a monitoring and evaluation framework to ensure effective implementation and progress tracking.
