To support Catalonia’s ambition to strengthen its global economic position, MCRIT helped define a long-term logistics strategy aligned with the region’s internationalisation goals. By aligning stakeholders, diagnosing system gaps and outlining a clear roadmap, the work gave public and private actors a common framework for guiding future logistics investments and reforms.
Catalonia sought to strengthen its global economic position by reshaping its logistics system for a 20-year horizon. The challenge was to align public and private stakeholders around a shared strategy, identify infrastructure and market gaps, and define a roadmap capable of boosting competitiveness and connectivity with neighbouring regions.
MCRIT contributed to demand and market analysis, infrastructure characterization, benchmarking, SWOT assessment, scenario building, definition of strategies and actions, identification of priority logistics areas, modelling, GIS analysis, and support in evaluating PPP and financing structures.
