Huancayo sought to modernize its public transport system, transitioning from a fragmented, competitive model to an efficient, sustainable, and inclusive service. The challenge was to redesign the bus network, optimize routes and frequencies based on demand, and implement a Bus Management System (BMS) to improve operational control and monitoring. The project aimed to integrate digital tools for better service management and promote the renewal of the fleet towards cleaner technologies. By improving urban mobility and enhancing the quality of life, this initiative lays the foundation for a modern, accessible, and environmentally responsible transport system in Huancayo.

MCRIT conducted a thorough analysis of the existing public transport system, including supply, demand, operations, and service quality. We provided technical support in redesigning routes and frequencies to optimize coverage, efficiency, and accessibility. Additionally, we developed a detailed implementation plan for the new transport system and the integration of the Bus Management System (BMS), ensuring alignment with operational and sustainability goals.
